It demonstrates in a modest way original design qualities of the interwar Bungalow style. These qualities include the dominant galvanised corrugated iron gable roof form that traverses the site, and a skillion front verandah. Other intact qualities include the two unpainted and corbelled brick chimneys the rear with a terra cotta pot, wide eaves, timber framed windows arranged in horizontal banks having a central fixed light with a bowed sash and flanking narrow double hung windows, central timber and glazed front door with sidelights, square timber verandah posts with decorative curved timber brackets. The substantial palm tree contributes to the significance of the place. The house at 21 Bridge Road is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the Flinders Estate subdivision of 1887 and the Ozone Estate subdivision of 1906. Overall, the house at 21 Bridge Road is of LOCAL significance.
