The beautiful European plane trees that characterize Blamey Crescent would have been just saplings when the vendors moved in to number 58, fifty-eight years ago. Raising a brood of 6 energetic children from the 1950s onwards would have been challenging, so one can well imagine the leafy parkland opposite would have been enthusiastically utilised for games of football & cricket, as well as other outdoor activities. The chalk on the concrete pavement for Hopscotch tournaments would be long worn away by now, but the baby boomer era memories should still be intact.
